Hole%20Through%20Text.jpg)
This was a collaboration piece with my friend Rohan Ayinde. We use the idea of a Black Hole to question our own (W)holeness. The idea of being seen/unseen and here/not here is a reflection on our ability to connect with each other through our otherness. Rohan was responsible for the text written on the transparency, and I was responsible for the light. The use of the transparency was important not only for its reflectiveness, but also for its ability to allow the text to be floating, as a moving and changing idea. The piece was hung from string at one point, so as bodies moved through the space the piece moved with it.
